Director, Producer, Writer

Taha Long is a filmmaker from Klang, Malaysia. He holds a Master’s in Film and Directing at the School of Visual Arts, under Bob Giraldi. 
Taha first became interested in storytelling at the age of 15 when he discovered his love for photography on a trip to Thailand. Since then, he has produced over a dozen short films, commercials, music videos and documentaries. Most recently, he was selected for the Playlab Films' 2022 Apichatpong Weerasethakul's Lab. In addition, his projects have been awarded the prestigious PBS Latino Public Broadcasting Grant, Katharina Otto-Bernstein Grant and chosen for Sundance Institute x Latino Hub Program. His producing work continues to be featured on publications, such as Dance Magazine, Tatler Asia, Hip Latina, Mitú, Remezcla and Latino Rebels.
When he is not busy helping other people bring their stories to life, he is also the Development Manager of Asian American International Film Festival and the Festival Coordinator for Katra Film Series & New Faces New Voices.
